LAUSANNE: Switzerland beat Pakistan by seven goals to five in the ongoing five-a-side hockey tournament organized by the International Hockey Federation.

According to the details, Arshad Liaquat scored for Pakistan in the fourth minute, but after a minute of taking the lead, the hosts equalized via a Jones Winkler goal.

In the eighth minute of the game, Elias scored to give Pakistan a one-goal deficit, but Pakistan responded with a sensational goal from Murtaza Yaqoob in the next minute, making the score 2-2.

The Swiss made a good start to the second half as Martin scored in the 12th minute. However, Pakistan again made a comeback through an Arshad Liaqat goal, who scored in the 13th minute to level the score.

Switzerland turned the game on its head in the same minute as Martin and Sullivan scored one goal each to give the hosts a two-goal lead, which was added by Jones in the 15th minute.

Pakistan once again fired back with goals from Tazeem-ul-Hasan and Arshad, but luck was not on their side as Elias scored for the hosts to give them a 7-5 lead.

It should be noted that Pakistan will play its second match on June 5 against Malaysia at 7 pm Pakistan time.
