LAHORE: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has reduced the number of wrestlers in the training camp ahead of the Commonwealth Games and Islamic Games.

According to the details, PSB has directed Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) to call 16 wrestlers into the training camp alongside two coaches.

After receiving the letter, PWF raised concerns over the matter. As per the federation, a wrestler needs a partner in each category for training. This will halt the preparations for mega-events.

It must be noted here that six Pakistani wrestlers will participate in Commonwealth Games while 10 in Islamic Games.

Commonwealth Games will take place from July 8 to August 8 whereas Islamic Games will be held in Turkey from August 9 to 18.
