LAHORE: Leg-spinner Shadab Khan shared his experience of playing in the T20 Vitality Blast.

"It was a great experience while playing in England. Conditions there are a bit tough but you learn a lot," Shadab told media on Thursday after joining national team's camp ahead of home ODI series against West Indies, scheduled to start on June 8 in Multan.

"I've worked with Adil Rashid there to come over my weaknesses. Hopefully, I will be able to give my best for my team," he added.

Pakistan's white-ball format vice-captain Shadab expressed his concerns over getting injured more often.

"It frustrates me to get an injury so quickly. But, as a professional cricketer, you have to work on it and make a comeback which is not easy at all," Shadab reiterated.

Talking about his competitor Zahid Mehmood, Shadab puts weight on healthy competition. "A healthy competition between players ultimately benefits the team. Zahid is a very good bowler and works really hard to make his mark," he highlighted.

"My focus is on my individual performance. My target is to play and perform in this year's T20 World Cup," he concluded.
