LAHORE: Pakistan's front-line pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi believes that hot weather in Multan during Pakistan vs West Indies ODI series will be difficult for fast bowlers.

Afridi interacted with the media on the sidelines of preparatory camp for West Indies series. During his address, Afridi expressed worries about playing in hot weather but being a professional, put himself confident to do well in the series.

"Hot weather in Multan will not be ideal for fast bowlers. They will not be able to bowl long spells. But, you will see us completely prepared for the series," he said.

Multan's weather is expected to be over 40 degrees during Pakistan vs West Indies ODI series which is scheduled to be played on June 8, 10, and 12.

After so many years, Afridi coined the return of international cricket to Multan as 'positive' for the fans.

"It is good to see international cricket going back to Multan. I hope their fans would be so happy about it and we get to see a huge turnout in the stadium," he said.

"We are preparing well for the series to play competitive cricket. No international team can be taken lightly. West Indies is a good side and we have to plan things strongly," he added.
