We have an eye on Shan Masood's performance: Babar Azam

LAHORE: Pakistani skipper Babar Azam acknowledged Shan Masood's superb form in County Championship and T20 Vitality Blast 2022.

Speaking to media here on Wednesday on the sidelines of training camp ahead of ODI series against West Indies, Babar said Masood, who scored two double-hundreds in this year's County Championship, doesn't fit in their current line-up. 

"We have watched Masood's current performance and we have an eye on him," Babar said. "He is a top-order batter batter, utilizing him in lower order will be injustice to him," he added. 

Talking about the series, Babar said Multan's hot weather is a bit concerning but we will try to adjust in it. "We are preparing for hot weather there," the skipper said. 

"Being a team, our focus is on the series. Our preparations are underway and we will continue playing modern day cricket," he maintained. 

"We have next year's World Cup in our mind while playing ODIs. We also played our series against Australia with this planning," he concluded.
