KARACHI: Pakistan hockey team's head coach Siegfried Aikman responded to all the criticism after his team was edged out not only from Asia Cup this year but also from Hockey World Cup 2023.

Taking to Twitter, Aikman highlighted his team's performance which according to him was satisfactory.

"Asia Cup so far (4), Results win 2, draw 1, lost 1. Match for the 5/6th place on June 1st. Hopefully, we will finish 5th. If so we didn’t reach our target but we played good attractive and attacking hockey. In the 4 matches, we scored 21 goals and got 5 goals against," he wrote.

Pakistan lost to Japan 3-2 in their last match of Asia Cup. Reportedly, Pakistani management made a blunder of playing the 12th player against FIH updated rules.

Later on, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) formed a three-member inquiry committee headed by Olympian Kaleemullah, accompanied by Olympian Nasir Ali and the president of KPK Hockey Association Zahir Shah to investigate the matter.
