MIAMI: The Boston Celtics overcame the Miami Heat and moved within one win of the NBA Finals, thanks to Jaylen Brown's 25 points in the second half.

Boston took a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference finals after winning 93-80 after trailing 42-37 at halftime.

The Celtics, who are attempting to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010, got 22 points and 12 rebounds from Jayson Tatum.

On Friday, Boston will host the sixth and final game of the best-of-seven series.

The Heat fell at home for the second time in the series after going 6-0 in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Bam Adebayo had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat.

Boston gained control of the third quarter, outscoring Miami 32-16, and a Brown turnaround jumper with eight seconds left in the period gave them their first double-digit lead, 69-58.

Brown then nailed a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter to finish a 24-2 run and give Boston an 83-60 advantage.

On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors face the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference playoffs, leading 3-1 and knowing that a win would send them to the Finals for the first time in three years.
