MANCHESTER: Home side Manchester City made an impressive comeback in final against Aston Villa to clinch English Premier League on Sunday.
In a nail-biting final contest, Villa took 1-0 lead in the first half with Matty Cash scoring a goal in 37th minute.
City struggled to score an equaliser initially which had made Villa's winning chances stronger. In 69th minute, Philippe Coutinho scored another goal to further strengthen Villa's position in the contest.
However, last 20 minutes changed the whole script. Ilkay Gundogan started the proceedings for City, netting the ball in 76th to make the scoreboard read 2-1.
Just two minutes later, Rodri scored another goal for City that levelled the score.
In last 10 minutes, City scored yet another goal to turn the tables. Gundogan struck in 81st minute to take 3-2 lead over Villa who suddenly lost grip on the match.
On the other hand, Liverpool beat Wolves by 3-1, but due to more points, City were crowned Premier League champions.
