KARACHI: Trent Alexander-Arnold believes that Liverpool and Manchester City are the best two teams in the world as the two sides fight for the Premier League title on the last day of the season.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the Reds' final clash with Wolves, Trent said: "Yeah, I admire them [Manchester City]. They're probably the best team in the world. You can take your pick [between us and them]. We're probably the two best teams in the world and whether you like our styles."

Liverpool are just a point behind Manchester City, who are scheduled to take on Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium.

This month, Alexander-Arnold became the youngest player in history to win the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Champions League. He believes City's continuous pursuit of points has helped Liverpool consider every game like a cup final this season.

"It's definitely down to how City are as well, I'd give a lot of that to them. This is our third 90-plus points season in four years which is outstanding and to only have one Premier League right now just shows the levels that City have.

"Every single game we've known we have to get the three points. From how it is right now, to back in September and October, it's exactly the same mentality from us to win every single game," the 23-year-old added.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool reduced a 14-point deficit to close the massive gap to a single as they go into Sunday's final round of fixtures.
