LYON: British Tennis star Cameron Norrie overcame Dane Holger Rune 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 at the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes on Friday, advancing to his third ATP Tour final of the season.

In the second set, Norrie led by a break, but the 19-year-old showed his battling instincts to force a tiebreaker. In windy circumstances, though, the 26-year-old maintained his composure in the third set to win the match after two hours and three minutes.

Norrie, who beat Francisco Cerundolo and Sebastian Baez earlier this week, has now reached two finals in Lyon, having lost last year to Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Norrie won the title at Delray Beach in February but lost the championship match in Acapulco against Rafael Nadal.

The World No. 11 will play Alex Molcan in the final on Saturday with the hopes of winning his first clay-court championship.
