Virender Sehwag is my friend: Shoaib Akhtar

ISLAMABAD: Cricket world's fastest bowler to date, Shoaib Akhtar refused to clap back at former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag's accusations of 'chucking'.

In his response to Sehwag's comments about his bowling action, Akhtar said he will not say anything to his former counterpart as the latter is his good friend. 

"Sehwag should avoid saying such things as it will weaken good relationship," he said. "I will not say anything in response because Sehwag is my good friend. He was a very good cricketer and best opener India ever had. At this age, I remain careful while making statements," he added. 

Meanwhile, Akhtar also shared that he hasn't listened to Sehwag's accusations. However, he suggested his Indian counterpart to leave this matter to ICC. "I don't think Sehwag knows more than ICC. The international body had cleared my bowling action. Except him, every one in India and Pakistan consider my bowling action legal," he concluded.
