KARACHI: After sustaining a stress fracture in his lower back, England fast bowler Jofra Archer will miss the full season.

It's another another setback for the 27-year-old, who hasn't played since last July after undergoing two elbow surgeries.

Archer was on the mend and expected to return to domestic cricket for Sussex in the T20 Blast next week, but the right-arm quick suffered another blow.

"No timeframe has been set for his [Archer's] return. A management plan will be determined following further specialist opinion over the coming days," a statement read.

This fresh setback will worry Archer, who was once England's most promising speed prospect but is now set to miss more than a year of action.

It should be mentioned here that Archer has 86 international wickets after playing 13 Tests, 17 ODIs, and 12 T20s for England. In March of 2021, he made his final England appearance.
