MUNICH: Undefeated Turkish boxer Musa Yamak breathed his last during a fight against Uganda's Hamza Wandera.

According to Turkish reports, Yamak was hit hard in the second round after which he was stumbled. Coming into next round, Yamak was feeling ok, but suddenly he collapsed before the start of third round.

"We lost our compatriot Musa Askan Yamak, a boxer from Alucra, who won European and Asian championships, at a young age after a heart attack,” Turkish official Hasan Turan confirmed on Twitter.

The 38-years-old Turkish-German boxer was undefeated in 75 fights and had an 8-0 record, with all his wins coming by knockout.

Yamak turned professional in 2017, but gained popularity after winning the WBFed International title in 2021.
