KARACHI: Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh are likely to play a tri-nation T20I series before all-important T20 World Cup, scheduled in October-November this year in Australia.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)'s cricket operations chairman, Jalal Yunus has confirmed that Bangladesh will be playing in tri-nation T20I series involving New Zealand and most likely Pakistan. The series will be played in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The dates of the series aren't confirmed as of yet but it will most likely take place between late September and early October.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)'s chairman Ramiz Raja had proposed the idea of four-nation events more frequently in recent ICC meeting. Raja's idea was reportedly rejected unanimously.

However, PCB claimed that the idea wasn't rejected and it will be re-discussed in upcoming ICC meeting in Birmingham.
