RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering change in timings for home ODIs against West Indies, scheduled here on June 8, 10, 12.

According to sources, PCB is planning to start ODIs around 5pm instead of 2pm due to ongoing heat wave across the country.

Weather forecasting services predicted a rise in temperature above 40°C in Rawalpindi and Multan in first week of June.

In 2012, Pakistan had hosted Australia in UAE for three ODIs that were played in the evening.

Meanwhile, PCB is also framing precautionary measures for safety of players, officials and people involved in the series. Following ICC rules, extra drinks will be allowed during the match to protect players from hot weather whereas air coolers will be placed in players' dug outs.

Initially, PCB has scheduled three home ODIs against West Indies here at Pindi Cricket Stadium but in case of political disbalance in the twin cities, these ODIs can be moved to Multan.

Remember, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan had already called for a long March towards Islamabad at the end of May.
