IPL 2022 ratings drop down by 35%: Indian report

DELHI: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022's ratings in first four weeks dropped down by 35%, Indian media reported. 

According to Financial Express, there was a big downfall in ratings of the IPL 2022 which is currently underway, having 10 teams for the first time in cash-rich competition. 

Earlier, India's Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) saw a decline in Tv viewership of IPL 2022's first week. 

As per BARC, the first eight matches of the IPL 2022 had a TVR of 2.52, compared to the 3.75 it had in the last season.

During the first week, only two matches had crossed 100 million viewership which is half of the previous season when four matches crossed 100 million views in first week.
