LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will raise players' salary in each category in new central contracts. 

According to the details, PCB is looking forward to awarding new central contracts to players before upcoming financial budget. Discussion on budget, number of players and categories is currently underway. 

The cricket board is considering an option to divide contracts in two formats, one for red-ball specialists and other for white-ball format. Increase in number of players in emerging category is also an option under consideration. 

On the other hand, there are plans to set up a fund for Iconic players to keep cricketers away from more leagues around the world. Iconic players funds will support players financially.
