KARACHI: After being viciously knocked out by Michael Chandler at UFC 274, Tony Ferguson has been given a 60-day medical ban.

In a final attempt to revive his chances of fighting for the 155lb crown, the lightweight contender was seeking to return to winning ways after three consecutive losses.

He was defeated for the fourth time in a row, his face squished by a devastating front kick that knocked him out and left him unconscious on the floor.

The organisation did not provide a formal explanation for his suspension, but the UFC star was compelled to go to the hospital right away.

Ferguson was eventually discharged after medical examinations revealed no lasting effects from the traumatic halt.
