WATCH: Siegfried Ekman leads Pakistan's training camp ahead of Asia Cup

LAHORE: Training camp for 24 Pakistan hockey players kicked off here on Tuesday under the supervision of national head coach Siegfried Ekman. 

Players who reported to camp manager Khawaja Junaid were; Abdullah Ishtiaq (Goalkeeper), Akmal Hussain (Goalkeeper), Muneeb ur Rehman (Goalkeeper), Mubashir Ali, Amad Shakeel Butt, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Hammad Anjum, Arbaz Ahmed, Rizwan Ali, Abdul Mannan, Umar Bhutta, Rana Abdul Waheed, Ghazanfar Ali, Mohammad Salman, Rumman Khan, Moin Shakeel, Ali Shan, Junaid Manzoor, Ajaz Ahmed, Abdul Hannan Shahid, Ahmad Nadeem, Nohaiz Zahid, Rana Sohail Riyaz.

The coaching panel of the training camp includesAjmal Khan Lodhi, Olympian Wasim Ahmad, Olympian Sameer Hussain (all assistant coaches), Imran Butt (goalkeepers' coach), Nadeem Lodhi (video analyst), Adeel Akhtar and Mohammad Aslam (physiotherapists).

On first day of the training camp, players were given lectures and did light drills under the eye of coaches. Training camp will last till June 2.

The Asian mega event will be played from May 23 to June 1 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
