PHF announced 24 players for Asia Cup 2022 training camp

LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has called 24 players for a training camp ahead of Asia Cup 2022. 

The list of players include Abdullah Ishtiaq (Goalkeeper), Akmal Hussain (Goalkeeper), Muneeb ur Rehman (Goalkeeper), Mubashir Ali, Amad Shakeel Butt, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Hammad Anjum, Arbaz Ahmed, Rizwan Ali, Abdul Mannan, Umar Bhutta, Rana Abdul Waheed, Ghazanfar Ali, Mohammad Salman, Rumman Khan, Moin Shakeel, Ali Shan, Junaid Manzoor, Ajaz Ahmed, Abdul Hannan Shahid, Ahmad Nadeem, Nohaiz Zahid, Rana Sohail Riyaz.

The announced players have been advised to report to camp manager Khawaja Junaid by afternoon on May 9. The camp will run till June 2 here at National Hockey Stadium. 

Head coach Siegfried Ekman will lead the coaching team which also includes Ajmal Khan Lodhi, Olympian Wasim Ahmad, Olympian Sameer Hussain (all assistant coaches), Imran Butt (goalkeepers' coach), Nadeem Lodhi (video analyst), Adeel Akhtar and Mohammad Aslam (physiotherapists). 

The Asian mega event will be played from May 23 to June 1 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
