PCB ready to host first-ever COVID-19 restrictions-free international series since 2020

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to conduct first-ever COVID-19 restrictions-free international series after 2020. 

According to the details, PCB has decided to not exercise COVID-19 SoPs during the upcoming home tour of the Sri Lanka women's team. 

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play three ODIs and as many T20Is here at Southend Club. 

During the series, players will be free from the bio-secure bubble, COVID-19 tests, and meeting with families/relatives/friends. 

"The upcoming series will have no COVID-19 restrictions," sources told this correspondent. 

Pakistan team will assemble here on Friday for a training camp ahead of the series. 

Camp participants:

Aiman Anwar, Anam Amin, Anoosha Nasir, Ayesha Bilal, Ayesha Naseem, Ayesha Zafar, Ghulam Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Kainat Imtiaz, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Najiha Alvi, Natalia Pervaiz, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shams, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz, Tasmia Rubab, Tuba Hassan, Umme Hani, Waheeda Akhtar and Yusra Amir.

Aliya Riaz, Bismah Maroof, Diana Baig and Fatima Sana will not attend the camp and join the squad for the series on 17 May, the quartet will be taking part in a women’s T20 league in Dubai
