LAHORE: Pakistan hockey team head coach Siegfried Ekman called Europe tour 'useful' for the team ahead of Asia Cup 2022. 

Upon returning from Europe, Ekman praised players for putting up a decent show against top teams in the world. 

"Our Europe tour was useful for the players ahead of Asia Cup," the head coach said. "Our players showed their potential and performed up to the mark. Also, they learnt a lot from this tour," he said. 

Pakistan hockey team played five matches during their Europe tour. Against the Netherlands, they won one, lost one followed by the defeat at the hands of Belgium. Later on, the national hockey team reached Barcelona to play two-matches series against Spain. The series ended in a draw with both teams winning a match each.

The national team was accompanied by Olympian Manager Khawaja Junaid, Head Coach Aikman, Assistant Coach Olympian Wasim Ahmed, Drake Flickr Coach Richard Snitcher, Goalkeeper Coach Bob John Weldef. Video analyst Nadeem Lodhi was also present.
