Azam Khan should transform himself into a cricketer: Aqib Javed

KARACHI: Former Test cricketer Aqib Javed suggested Azam Khan to improve his fitness or leave cricket. 

In an interview with ARY News, Javed said Khan, who is the son of former wicket-keeper batter Moin Khan, should look like a cricketer. 

“Azam Khan should either quit cricket or else transform himself into a cricketer,” he said. 

Azam has often remained under criticism for being 'overweight' and for nepotism. He made his T20I debut against England in 2021. He played three games, scoring just six runs. 

Earlier, in an interview, Khan accepted the mistakes he made in the given chances. “I made mistakes and I’m trying to overcome them. My goal is to represent Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup," he was quoted saying.
