KARACHI: Former Indian legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar has called West Indies star all-rounder Kieron Pollard "a fighter and a challenger" after he retired from international cricket.
Pollard, on Wednesday, announced his retirement from international cricket.
"After careful deliberation, I've today decided to retire from international cricket," Pollard said in a video on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Tendulkar took to Twitter to congratulate the all-rounder after he announced his decision.
"A fighter and a challenger with a terrific attitude on the field. Congratulations Polly," Tendulkar wrote.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pollard has smashed 4275 runs in 223 white-ball matches for the West Indies.
