MUMBAI: The star Australian all-rounder after Glenn Maxwell is very excited about joining the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) unit for this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) after recently getting married to Vini Raman.

It should be noted that in February this year, Maxwell had made his intentions clear that he will miss Australia's tour to Pakistan and may even miss the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to his marriage.

According to CricTracker, Maxwell informed that despite his wedding, he did remain in touch with the management, besides also backing newly-appointed captain Faf du Plessis to do well.

"I'm glad I look fit, I don't know. I don't exactly feel it. I haven't done much over the last few weeks. I was looking forward to getting over here. I just can’t wait for the night to get back out there with the guys," he said.

"I've had a few messages before the tournament. I think I was probably more focussed on my wedding sort of before that. I was in touch with the coaches right throughout the auction, and that process as well," he revealed.

'We're really happy with Faf du Plessis at the helm. We think he's going to do a great job for the franchise and even the way he started, you can tell he's got the respect of everyone in the room," he says about newly-appointed skipper Faf.
