LONDON: Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz has been signed by Northern Superchargers for the second edition of The Hundred.
In a Twitter announcement, The Hundred revealed that Wahab has been picked up by Superchargers for the upcoming season which is scheduled from August 3 to September 3.
Last year, Wahab was taken by Trent Rockets but he could only play a match. He picked up four wickets in the only match he played last year.
Babar has been named alongside Chris Gayle, Mitchell Marsh, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, David Warner, and Tabraiz Shamsi on most expensive players' list.
The reserve price for these players has been set at £125,000 (PKR 3 crores).
However, Mohammad Amir, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf will be up for auction at a reserve price of £75,000. Experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik and Naseem Shah will be sold out for as minimum as £50,000. Moreover, Shan Masood, Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim are included in £40,000 reserve price category.
Pakistani players, who were added to the players' list without any reserve price for this year's The Hundred, include Iftikhar Ahmed, Kamran Akmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Umar Akmal, Qasim Akram, Anwar Ali, Asif Ali, Danish Aziz, Amad Butt, Shahnawaz Dahani, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Haris, Arshad Iqbal, Akif Javed, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Ilyas, Sohail Khan, Sajid Khan, Sohaib Maqsoof, Rumman Raees, Usman Qadir, Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz, Abdullah Shafique, Yasir Shah, Ahmed Shahzad, Usman Shinwari, and Haris Sohail.
