PAK vs AUS: Babar Azam becomes fastest batter to reach 15 ODI centuries

Babar went past South Africa's Hashim Amla who took 86 innings, while he achieved the feat in 83 innings

LAHORE: Babar Azam who has scored a played a knock of pure class to keep Pakistan in the hunt of chasing a mammoth 349-run target in the crucial 2nd ODI against Australia, and with that 73-ball ton, he also went past South Africa's Hashim Amla to become the quickest batter in history to score 15 ODI hundreds. 

It is pertinent to mention that the Proteas batting great Amla took 86 innings to achieve the milestone, while Babar scored the 15th hundred in 83 innings.  Amla, who was top on the list, has slipped to second, as Babar has managed to achieve the amazing feat. 

The third on the list is India's star batter Virat Kohli, who took 105 innings to notch 15 ODI centuries. 

Babar, ever since making his ODI debut in 2015, has emerged to be Pakistan's top batter over the course of six years, playing some real-match winning knocks and smashing several records.

In today's knock as well, he took the aggressive approach as he showed great hunger for quick runs and displayed some great and worth-watching shots.
