LAHORE: Australia's white-ball skipper Aaron Finch called Pakistani bowlers 'major threat' for them in the upcoming ODI series, starting here on March 29.

While talking to the media on Monday, Finch said Pakistan's bowling line is strong enough to give them a tough time in 50-overs format.

"Pakistan has some really good bowlers including Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali," he said.

"I faced Haris in Big Bash League and I think he is one of the fastest bowlers currently in world cricket. These bowlers have always proved to be Pakistan's backbone and performed for them at crucial stages," he added.

Australia will be missing a lot of their key players during the white-ball tour. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and David Warner were rested for the tour whereas Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh were ruled out of the tour due to injuries.

Speaking about their strength after a couple of injuries, Finch said it will be a good chance for youngsters to prove their mettle.

"It will be a Test for us but we still have a really good team. Our youngsters are capable enough to beat any side in the world," Finch said.

"Our young players will be accompanied by some of the really good senior players such as Alex Carey and Travis Head. So, we look forward to competitive cricket against Pakistan," visiting captain maintained.
