Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has revealed the profits of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and how much each franchise earned from the last edition of the league.

"PSL 7 profits jumped to 71%, the most in its history, with each franchise earning around PKR900million, again the most in PSL’s history, and all before the first ball was even bowled," Ramiz Raja said in a statement on Monday.

The tournament concluded on Sunday after Lahore Qalandars thrash Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their maiden PSL title.

The historic Gaddafi Stadium was sold out for the final to witness the mega final of the seventh edition of the PCB's marquee event.

Ramiz Raja also unveiled that the PCB aims to widen the PSL's fan reach and will hold matches in the home cities of the franchises.

"For next year, we aspire to take this league to the homes of all franchises and broaden its fan reach," the PCB chairman said.
