Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi believes that Lahore Qalandars can surprise Multan Sultans in the mega final of the ongoing seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Multan Sultans had qualified for the final after defeating Lahore Qalandars on 23 February at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars on Friday beat Islamabad United by six runs to advance to the mega final of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Taking to Twitter, Afridi said that Lahore Qalandars can surprise the defending champions Multan Sultans in the final.

"Today is a day of surprises! So I am sure Lahore Qalandars can surprise the Multan Sultans who have played like champions," Shahid Afridi.

Talking about the electric Lahore crowd at the Gaddafi Stadium, the former all-rounder said that it's great that the final of the mega-event will be witnessed by a full house stadium.

"I m sure the Lahore crowd will enjoy this historic final today. Super League is a mega event now and a final in front of a full house is great needs indeed," he added.

Afridi was part of Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing PSL, but he pulled out of the tournament midway after sustaining a back injury.
