The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has asked "Universe Boss" Chris Gayle to come and play in next year's PSL after he offered to become the new head coach of Karachi Kings.

In their official Twitter handle, the PSL replied to Chris Gayle's tweet and asked the West Indian to play in the next edition of the tournament.

"Hey #UniverseBoss, why don’t you come out of retirement and play for the #HBLPSL8?," PSL tweeted.

Earlier, Gayle offered to coach Karachi Kings after their dismal performance in the ongoing seventh edition of the PSL.

"Hey, PSL. I will be the new head coach next season for Karachi Kings. There's no argument in this one," Gayle tweeted.

Chris Gayle has played for three teams — Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Quetta Gladiators — in the PSL.
