Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will not be touring Pakistan and might miss the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as he is set to get married to his fiance Vini Raman in late March and will remain away from cricket.

Speaking about his wedding plans, Maxwell told Fox Cricket that it was unavoidable due to constant changes in schedule: "Originally when I organised the dates with CA, there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it."

"So when I sorted that out I was pretty happy that I wasn't going to be missing in any series. And then I came to the Cricket Australia (CA) contract meeting midway through last year and they said well this is [when] the Pakistan series [is on] and I thought well obviously that's changed since the last conversation we had," Maxwell revealed.

It should be noted that Australia will be touring Pakistan for the first time in 24 years and they will play three Tests, three ODIs, and a one-off T20I, and the Maxwell is considered as an integral member of Aussies limited-overs side.

Maxwell, who is playing for Australia in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home, has featured in 116 ODIs and 82 T20Is for his country. He is also famous in the IPL circuit due to his ability to showcase power-hitting skills with the bat and brilliant display as a fielder.
