PAK vs AUS: Waqar Younis 'excited' about 'tough' Australia series

Australia will play three Tests, three ODIs, and a single T20I against Pakistan

Former legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis is excited about Australia's tour of Pakistan.

The Australian men's cricket team will be touring Pakistan after 24 years during which it will play three Tests, three ODIs, and a single T20I.

Taking to Twitter, Waqar shared a video where he said that he is "excited" about the tour after a long time and thanked Cricket Australia.

"Exciting time, guys," the former Pakistan captain said. 

"Australia is sending their cricket team to Pakistan after so so long. I want to take this opportunity to thank Cricket Australia, Pat Cummins, David Warner, and their entire team for visiting Pakistan next month."

He also urged the fans to welcome the Aussies at the stadium to have a great series.

"Let's go and welcome them and have a great series. It's going to be a fun and tough series. We all can't wait for that," he added.

  • 27 Feb – Arrival in Islamabad
  • 4-8 Mar – 1st Test, Rawalpindi
  • 12-16 Mar – 2nd Test, Karachi
  • 21-25 Mar – 3rd Test, Lahore
  • 29 Mar – 1st ODI, Rawalpindi
  • 31 Mar – 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi
  • 2 April – 3rd ODI, Rawalpindi
  • 5 Apr – one-off T20I, Rawalpindi
  • 6 Apr - Departure
