PSL 7: Peshawar Zalmi eye victory as they take on Lahore Qalandars today

Peshawar Zalmi will take on Lahore Qalandars in their third match of the ongoing seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Cricket Stadium Karachi today.

The match starts at 7:30pm.

Zalmi and Qalandars, both have won only one of their first two matches of the PSL 2022 and will look to improve their performance and win today's clash.

Zalmi have shown weakness in the bowling department during the last two matches, and they have struggled with wickets in the powerplay.

Qalandars on the other hand have a mixture of pace and spin in the form of skipper Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and star spinner Rashid Khan.

Fakhar Zaman has been a top-performer for the Qalandars, scoring 76 and 106 runs in the first and second matches, respectively.

Meanwhile, destructive left-handed opener Hazratullah Zazai has recovered from COVID-19 and is likely to play against Qalandars today. Zazai's arrival will add the aggression, Zalmi were lacking in the powerplay.

Zalmi and Qalandars have faced each other on 13 times in the Pakistan Super League and according to stats, Zalmi have the upper hand as they have won eight matches while Qalandars have won only 5.

However at the National Stadium Karachi, Lahore Qalandars have dominated Peshawar Zalmi as they won the two matches played at the venue.
