Fans on Twitter are lauding the Multan Sulatns' hard-hitting batter, Tim David, for his knock of sheer brute force in which he smashed the Islamabad United bowlers to all parts of the park by playing a scintillating 71-run innings off just 29 balls with six sixes and six fours at a staggering strike rate of 244.82.
Sultans, after being put in to bat by United skipper Shadab, were in a troublesome spot being 78-3 in 10.2 overs, and after that, it was the blazing 110-run partnership between Tim and Rilee Rossouw that helped Sultans' reach a mammoth 217 runs in 20 overs.
Shan Masood scored 43 runs off 31 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan got out in an unfortunate manner for 12, and Sohaib Maqsood was run-out for 13.
But then, Tim rose to the occasion and left no stone unturned to entertain the crowd with six towering sixes, while Rossouw was also not behind in doing the damage with the blistering 67 not-out innings in just 35 balls with six maximums.
Rossouw in the last over smashed three sixes against Hasan Ali to take his team's score to 217.
