Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United is set to replace veteran Ireland batter Paul Stirling with England's Liam Dawson for the Lahore-leg matches of the ongoing seventh edition of the PSL.
Stirling made an exceptional start to his PSL 2022 campaign against Peshawar Zalmi, scoring 57 runs in just 25 balls.
The 31-year-old will play four more games for Islamabad United and join his national team after that.
England's right-handed batter Liam Dawson will join the two-time PSL champions and will join United for the Lahore-leg matches, which will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore from 10 February onwards.
Liam Dawson has previously represented Peshawar Zalmi.
The replacement has been approved by Event Technical Committee, which is headed by Zakir Khan (Director – International Cricket Operations) and includes Nadeem Khan (Director – High Performance) and Sameer Khosa.
