Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has recovered from COVID-19, Gladiators' team manager Azam Khan announced on Monday.

Afridi was quarantined at his home after testing positive for COVID-19 and will join his team members after a negative COVID result.

According to Azam Khan, Afridi will arrive at the team hotel tomorrow and join his team members following a negative COVID-19 result.

The former Pakistan captain will not undergo three-day isolation if his test result comes negative and will also be available for the match against Islamabad United on 3 February, Azam Khan added.

Quetta Gladiators star all-rounder Shahid Afridi tested positive for COVID-19 only a day before the start of the PSL 7.

Afridi had pulled out of the bio-secure bubble because of personal reasons.

Upon arrival, Afridi returned a positive COVID-19 test.
