KARACHI: The ongoing sixth Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 between the traditional rivals Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings was the contest for which the fans were early waiting, but it had also something else worth watching, and it was Babar Azam taking against Rashid Khan.
Rashid is famous for taking down top-class batters and the Qalandars have picked him to do just that.
After Mohammad Hafeez dismissed Sharjeel Khan(60) during today's clash at the National Stadium, Rashid also gave his team a breakthrough by dismissing Karachi skipper Babar (41).
He picked Babar's scalp on the fourth ball of the 15th over, when he bowled a lovely googly, as Babar got down on one knee to sweep him, but got no connection whatsoever, and the ball went crashing on to his off-stump.
It should be noted that in the T20 World Cup match, Rashid also picked Babar's wicket at a crucial juncture by clean bowling him in a similar fashion.
