Peshawar Zalmi skipper Wahab Riaz and wicket-keeper batter Kamran Akmal will join their team's practice session today as they have completed their quarantine period, according to a statement issued by the management on Saturday.
Wahab and Kamran had tested positive for COVID-19, which forced them to miss Peshawar Zalmi's first game of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Quetta Gladiators on Friday.
Both players will be in action in Zalmi's practice session, the statement added.
In the absence of Wahab, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik led the Yellow Storm, inspiring them to a remarkable win after his heroic run-chase where he partnered with left-handed batter Hussain Talat to chase down a big target of 191.
Another Zalmi player, Hazratullah Zazai, had also tested positive for COVID-19 before the game against Gladiators.
Peshawar Zalmi will next take on Islamabad United in their second match of the seventh edition of the PSL at the National Cricket Stadium Karachi on Sunday.
