Pakistan's Test fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has re-signed a contract with England's Hampshire County Cricket Club (CCC) for the start of the County Championship 2022, which will be his second stint with the club.
With the signing of this contract, Abbas will be available for the Hampshire CCC outfit for at least the first two months of the season, playing for them from the start of the County Championship.
Upon re-joining Hampshire, Abbas said: "I am is happy to rejoin Hampshire CCC, as I also enjoyed playing for the club last year as well."
"I hope that I will perform well for the club during the second stint," Abbas added.
It should be noted that this will be Abbas's second stint in a row, as he also represented Hampshire in the 2021 County Championship season as well.
Meanwhile, ever since making his international debut in 2017 during the Test series against West Indies, Abbas has been a regular member of Pakistan's red-ball squad and has performed for them on crucial junctures.
In 25 Tests he has played, the right-arm pacer has managed to pick up 90 wickets at an average of 23.02.
