Peshawar Zalmi skipper Wahab Riaz will miss Peshawar Zalmi's opening match with Quetta Gladiators as he is isolating himself after testing positive for COVID-19.
The left-arm pacer had returned a positive COVID-19 test and is currently isolating himself.
Meanwhile, veteran all-rounder of the Pakistan cricket team Shoaib Malik will lead the Zalmi's in their opening match against the Gladiators.
Gladiators star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has also tested positive for the virus and will miss Gladiators clash with Zalmi.
Earlier, Karachi Kings' Imad Wasim and Jordan Thompson tested positive for COVID-19.
The seventh edition of the PSL will kick off today when Karachi Kings take on Multan Sultans at the National Cricket Stadium Karachi.
