Babar won the ICC ODI cricketer of the year award, and Shaheen won the ICC Cricketer of the year award

Both Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi thanked the 'Almighty Allah' and their supporters as each of them won an award at the International Cricket Council (ICC) awards 2021.

Babar won the ICC ODI Cricketer of the year award, while Shaheen won the ICC Cricketer of the year award as both displayed some staggering performances during the calendar year 2021. 

Both the star players took to their official Twitter handle and expressed their happiness. 

Babar tweeted: "Really proud to be named ICC ODI Cricketer of the year 2021. I am thankful to Almighty, my family, friends, and fans who always push me to do better with all their love and trust."

"I'll try to keep on giving my best and make you all proud. Thank you once again, much love," Babar added.

While Shaheen tweeted: "Almighty has been very kind to me. I'm extremely grateful for all the love sent my way. It wouldn't have been possible without the support of my team and my family. I'll keep on pushing myself to keep up with the challenges ahead. Thank you."
