Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars have signed a kit sponsorship deal with the Bank of Punjab in an event on Thursday at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

The sponsorship deal was signed between Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atif Rana and Bank of Punjab CEO Zafar Masood.

Qalandars' CEO Atif Rana was delighted with the deal.

"Lahore Qalandars has always warmed the hearts of cricket fans. Luck was missing from Lahore Qalandars' performance from the last six editions, however this time, luck has also sided with Qalandars in the form of Zafar Masood."

Meanwhile, Zafar Masood also expressed happiness over the deal with Qalandars and termed it a partnership rather than a sponsorship.

"This is not a sponsorship, but a partnership. We have always tried to do something path-breaking and unique from others." Zafar said.

The senior member of the Lahore Qalandars team, Muhammad Hafeez, was also present at the event and said that the deal would open new doors to the youngsters of the PSL franchise.

"Lahore Qalandars will try to perform well and live up to the expectations of the fans. The deal will open new opportunities to the youth, which will allow them to showcase their talent. Being part of the team, we will try to bring the best result this season," Hafeez said.

PSL will kick off on 27 January at the National Stadium Karachi.
