PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja to host an event in honour of Pakistan cricket team on Friday, sources

National cricketers who were part of the T20 World Cup 2021 will be invited to the event

LAHORE: Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja will host a function in honour of the Pakistan cricket team, sources reported Thursday.

According to sources, the PCB plans to bring together national cricketers in a function on Friday.

National cricketers who were part of the T20 World Cup 2021 will be invited to the event.

The purpose of the event is to commend and appreciate the players for their performance in the mega event, during which Pakistan reached the semi-finals and lost to Australia after an unbeaten run.

During the event, Raja will give cash prizes to the players in a ceremony.

The T20 World Cup 2021 was memorable for the Pakistan cricket team as they trounced arch-rivals India for the first time in a World Cup.

Reaching the semi-final, Pakistan also beat New Zealand and remained unbeaten in the group stage before losing to Australia in the semi-final.
