Afghanistan star leg-spinner Rashid Khan was exceptional for Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and took a six-wicket haul in his last match of the tournament before leaving on international duty for Afghanistan.

Rashid ended the match with remarkable figures of 6-17 and claimed the third-best bowling figure in the history of the BBL.

In his second over, Rashid dismissed Brisbane Heat batters Sam Heazlett and Jake Lehmann in two consecutive deliveries.

He then sent Will Prestwidge to the pavilion after he was caught for a duck.

The 23-year-old spin sensation took three more wickets in his third and last over when Matthew Kuhnemann, Afghanistan teammate Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, and Liam Guthrie fell victim to his impeccable bowling.

Apart from his spectacular spell, Khan also delivered with the bat and hit two sixes before getting caught at 13.

Adelaide Strikers set a big target of 161, and Rashid's exceptional spell helped them restrict Brisbane Heat to 90 to win the match at Gabba.
