Former legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram has requested the people of Pakistan to keep the Karachi beach clean.
The former left-arm quick, via a video message, revealed that a week-long cleanliness campaign has been launched to clean up the beach of Karachi. He also requested the people to keep the beach clean as it belongs not just to Karachi but the whole of Pakistan.
"A week-long campaign has been launched to clean up Karachi's beach. We come to the beach every day for a walk, and there is a lot of dirt here. My only request to people who visit the beach is to take special care of cleanliness," Wasim said.
"People from Punjab, Balochistan, and KPK should consider it as their beach and clean up their trash. Put the garbage in a plastic bag, take it with you, and throw it in the dustbin outside the beach. Don't throw it here," he added.
The 55-year-old added that despite the people being stubborn, he will keep making videos until the beach is clean.
"Explaining is as embarrassing as explaining to a five-year-old child. I know you are stubborn, but I am more stubborn than you are and keep making videos until the beach is clean," he concluded.
