South African all-rounder Chris Morris retires from all forms of cricket

South African all-rounder Chris Morris on Tuesday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, drawing curtains to a 12-year long career that started in 2009 with a first-class match. 

Morris who made his debut for South Africa in 2012, went on to represent his country in four Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20I, as he informed about his retirement on his official Instagram. 

"Today I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket! Thanks to all who have played a part in my journey whether it be big or small…it's been a fun ride! Delighted to be taking up a coaching role at @titanscricket #lifebeginsnow," he wrote.

Morris, alongside playing for his country's team Titans, also represented the different teams in the T20 franchise competitions across the globe.

He played for Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the Indian Premier League (IPL), while the Sydney Thunder in BBL
