Liverpool reached the fourth round of the FA Cup by outclassing Shrewsbury Town by 4-1 as Fabinho struck twice for the home team during the one-sided affair at the iconic Anfield Stadium.

Though Shrewsbury surprised Liverpool when they surged ahead in the 27th minute when Udho netted the goal for them, Kaide Gordon levelled things up seven minutes later, while Fabinho's goal on penalty just a minute before the first break brought the home team up 2-1.

The second half belonged well and truly to Liverpool who scored in the 78th minute and then in the stoppage time to win the game in a stunning style having dominated in terms of ball possession, shots on target, and corners.

This victory will come as a relief for Liverpool who is severely marred by the COVID-19 outbreak as they had to close their training ground, manager Jurgen Klopp was isolated due to COVID, and their important Carabao Cup semi-final first leg with Arsenal was also called off.
