Star British boxer Amir Khan's new trainer BoMac McIntyre is confident that he will outclass his rival Kell Brook when he locks horns with him in the much-awaited fight on February 19 at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Khan has been doing training drills under the watchful eyes of BoMac, who told Sky Sports that the 35-year-old British boxer can do what Terence Crawford did with Kell.

"Yes, I believe he can. After seeing what Crawford did to Kell, I believe that Amir can do the same thing," said BoMac to Sky Sports.

"Brook will do what he has to do in order to win. That's what we call the storm. Once you get past the storm, it's downhill after that. You've got to mentally prepare for that. In the corner, we say: 'This is the storm that we talked about in the gym'," BoMac said.

It should be noted that Amir has been doing his training in the snowy region of Colorado with BoMac.

Khan also told Sky Sports: "My chest is burning but this is what makes you a champion."

"I have had a few sparring rounds with Crawford and done mitt work with. It's back, I feel like I'm 25 or 26 again, at the peak of my career," Khan added.

He further said: "I can't see Brook beating me. I'm a better-skilled fighter. I have been in with better opposition."
