The much-awaited fight between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns took a surprising turn after Roman tested positive for COVID-19 and the match was cancelled, as Brock became the new WWE Champion by winning the fatal five-way match.

Meanwhile, due to Roman's unavailability, Brock was fitted into the WWE Championship match which also featured Seth Rollins, Big E, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley.

But despite being inducted at the last minute, Brock left the buzzing State Farm Arena in Atlanta in style with the glittering WWE belt.

During that fast-paced fight, his winning moment came when he threw Big E on the floor heavily, after which Big E couldn't recover, as the sound of the bell signaled the end of the match with Brock being the winner.

It is pertinent to mention that Roman also informed about his unavailability on his official Twitter handle.

He tweeted:"I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols, I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible."
